Birkan Bektaş was graduated from the Department of City and Regional Planning of DEU in 1998.
Has a master’s degree from the City Planning Program of IYTE in 2004 on earthquake damage modelling issues. He is a PhD candidate in IYTE and currently works in İzmir Metropolitan Planning Unit of İzmir Greater City Municipality.
